One of the aims of the retreat days is to meet colleagues in an informal way. This was possible during the meals (vegetarian and very tasteful!), through the workshops and several other moments. On Tuesday morning, everyone was getting out of their natural habits through sports, mindfulness or speed reading. Being energized, we had a workshop about press clippings and popularization of research. As sustainability science is very relevant to society, we also want to communicate our research well. At the end of the retreat days we were honored to have Maarten Hajer, Director-general of Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency, as a guest speaker about Smart Cities. A topic that is relevant to all the groups within our institute.
And for now, back to my own research again!
